Full Itinerary
Day 1 Puno – La Paz – Uyuni
Your adventure begins around 7:00 AM with departure from the bus terminal in Puno. You will travel through traditional Aymara towns and cross the Peru–Bolivia border on a comfortable tourist bus, arriving in La Paz, Bolivia at approximately 3:00 PM.
In the evening, at around 9:00 PM, you will board a comfortable sleeper bus to Uyuni. You will travel overnight, resting on the sleeper bus as you continue your journey.
Day 2 – Uyuni Salt Flats Tour – Return to La Paz
You will arrive in Uyuni at approximately 6:00 AM. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to a comfortable place where you may optionally enjoy breakfast or take a short walk around the town of Uyuni.
Your tour begins at 10:30 AM with a visit to the Train Cemetery, located on the outskirts of Uyuni. Here, you will explore historic locomotives that once connected important cities across Bolivia while learning about their history.
Next, you will visit the small village of Colchani, known for its salt-processing workshops near the salt flats. You will have the opportunity to see handicrafts made from salt and textiles crafted from llama and alpaca fiber.
The journey then continues into the vast Uyuni Salt Flats. You will have time to take perspective photographs on the endless white surface and visit a former salt hotel, now operating as a museum. At midday, you will enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon, you will head to Incahuasi Island, where you can walk to the top and observe giant cacti and unique rock formations rising from the salt desert. To end the day, you will travel to a strategic viewpoint to witness the sunset over the salt flats.
The tour concludes around 6:00 PM. In the evening, you may optionally have dinner in Uyuni before transferring to the bus terminal. At approximately 9:30 PM, you will board a comfortable sleeper bus back to La Paz.
Day 3 – La Paz to Puno
On this day, you will arrive in La Paz at approximately 6:00 AM. You will have free time to enjoy breakfast before continuing your journey.
At 7:30 AM, the tourist bus will depart for Puno, Peru, arriving at approximately 5:30 PM.
