Day 1
We will pick you up from your hotel at 7:15 AM and take you to the speedboat. Here, the guide will introduce themselves to begin the tour. While listening to their explanation, you will enjoy the incredible views of Lake Titicaca until arriving at the Uros floating islands.
Once you set foot on the first floating island, the locals will welcome you and then show you their way of life in this home—their food, customs, and traditions. To say goodbye to the island, you will have the amazing opportunity to take a ride on a boat made entirely from the totora plant.
After about an hour on the speedboat, we will disembark on Taquile Island. Here, you will have the chance to take one of the most peaceful walks in the world. You will walk along cobblestone paths, enjoy beautiful landscapes with cultivated terraces, and meet local people who are always weaving beautiful souvenirs and their own clothing. You will continue walking until you reach a local family restaurant where you will have lunch. End this day by sleeping at a local family’s house on the beautiful Luquina Peninsula. They will warmly welcome you, and you will enjoy a local dinner.
Day 2
You will see a beautiful sunrise over Lake Titicaca in Luquina. After breakfast with the family, you can join their daily activities such as milking cows and harvesting food. Then, you will enjoy these foods for lunch. Finally, after resting, you will head down to the boat to return to Puno.
